1970S TO-DIE-FOR FLORAL STRIPED DRESS

March 28th, 2013

Aiyayayaya….! Sometimes when a dress like this comes along, it just reminds us all over again why we remain in love with vintage clothing!

The print is amazing: Green flowers all over, with blue and white stripes positioned exactly at all the right areas: the end of the sleeves; skirt hem; collar; sides of the dress; and the middle panel where the buttons sit.

Amazing construction! Plus it’s fully lined.

We should’ve zoomed in on the buttons, but neglected to. If you can even make it out from the photos – they look a little like jade buttons, and they’re fully original.

LOVE!

Size: S. One piece only.

VINTAGE VIXEN!

February 28th, 2013

Our camera shy customer Tammy walks away with this glamourous 1970s maxi dress with gold piping.

During the 1970s, there was a revival of the 1930s when glitzy glamourous floor-length dresses with revealing necklines and bare backs were wildly popular.

Sultry 1970s light blue dress

November 2nd, 2012

PHEE-YOO-WEET!

This sultry light blue dress (Size: M) is understated sexiness to the max, if that even makes sense!

This halter neck dress has a lovely touch – an extra bit of fabric layered over the bosom that moves a little as you sash

ay down the street. ; P

The frill extends all the way to the back of the dress, narrowing as it reaches the zip. The dress comes with built-in bra cups which can be easily removed – no problemo!

Matched here with clear lucite dangling eariings from the 1960s – ooh la la la la!

Sweet cheesecloth 1970s dress

November 1st, 2012

HERE’S ONE of our sweetest dresses at GDO. It’s made with cheesecloth and so, has that super comfortable feel.

It’s got a little ribbon to hold a frilled collar together, and an embroidered pink flower on green stems. (Size: S)

We’ve paired it with a whimsical little leather pouch in an unusual shape. It’s so cute, and reminds us of something, but we just can’t place it. Any suggestions?
